Mission Statement

Brantford Minor Lacrosse provides a youth program to develop athletes with character and integirty who have a deep understanding and respect of the history of lacrosse and who will serve as positive members of society and the greater community. 

Position:

Brantford is seeking passionate and dedicated individuals to join our Rep Box programs for the 2024 season.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement effective practice plans tailored to the skill levels and age groups of the players.

• Foster a positive and inclusive team environment that emphasizes sportsmanship, teamwork, and character development.

• Attend all team practices, games, and tournaments.

• Provide constructive feedback to players to help them improve their lacrosse skills and knowledge of the game.

• Collaborate with assistant coaches, parents, and the Brantford Lacrosse Club to ensure the success of the program.

• Promote player development, safety, and adherence to Ontario Lacrosse rules and regulations.

• Be a positive role model for young athletes, demonstrating integrity, respect, and a strong work ethic.

   

Qualifications:

• Previous coaching experience is an asset.

• Previous playing experience is preferred but not required.

• Must be NCCP certified or willing to complete the proper NCCP coaching certifications prior to the start of the 2024 season.

• Strong understanding of the playing rules and strategies of lacrosse as well as the Ontario Lacrosse Rules and Regulations.

• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

• Ability to work collaboratively with players, parents, and the club’s leadership.

• Passion for youth development and promoting the values of the club.

• A background check (facilitated by the club) will be required.
